Click Issue on the main menu to open the Issue form. The word Issue appears in the upper left of the form. The number of records (1 of 3) is shown in the lower left of the form. Pastors will see all issues. Deacons will see only issues with blank or Dea in the IssueConf field.

To add a new Issue, open the Contact form, select a contact, click Issue at the bottom of the form, and click New on the Issue form to add a new record. Select a parishioner. If the church attendee is not in the Contact table, click Edit by the Contact label to open the Contact form and add the parishioner, then close the Contact form. Select an Issue. You can add custom issues on the combo form by using the Edit link beside the Issue link. Enter the date an issue began in the format of m/d for the current year or m/d/yyyy. Select an issue confidentiality level of blank for everybody, Dea for deacons, pastors and staff only or Pas for pastors only. If the IssueConf level is blank, you can check boxes for Prayer List, Prayer List Detail or Bulletin to show that the individual would like to release information for that purpose. Use the Comment field for notes about this issue.

The Sel checkbox is for future use to allow you to select multiple issues on reports and queries. Sel All selects all records in the recordset. Clear Sel clears all records in the recordset. You can use the Find box to filter or limit records shown in the recordset. For example, Find for Hosp to show only records where the issue is Hospital. Find uses the | symbol (above the \) to show the first or last of a field. The status bar text above the Start button shows fields used by the Find box. (|IssueID|DateBegan|C-ContactID|Comment|SEL|). Find |SEL| to find selected issues. Find |C-1| to find issues for ContactID 1. You could also find the contact in the Contact form and click Issue. Find, Sel All and Clear Sel work the same on all continuous forms.

Click the blue link at the top of a field (IssueID, Contact, Issue, DateIssueBegan, IssueConf, Sel) to sort ascending by that field. Click the link again to sort in descending order.

Click Visit or press Alt-V to see the visits for an issue.

The Del button at the bottom of the form lets you confirm and delete an issue and related visits. Click Exit to return to the previous menu.
