The scrap metal buyer Access database is a multi-user point of sale system that lets you track scrap metal buyers and sellers in Dallas and Fort Worth metroplex.
It has been tested with Microsoft Access 2003, MSAccess 2007 and Office 2010. The system supports multiple printers
including thermal POS printers, ID scanners for scanning the state drivers license, optical character recognition OCR
to convert the scanned driver license into data, a signature scanner to capture the seller's signature on each
invoice and an area for another photo and documents with each invoice.
Reports include an XML report for metals that are reportable to the state of Texas.
You can track when and where your recycling dumpsters are located and track mileage as you recover them.
Although this system was designed for a scrap metal recycling business, it could be easily modified for use
by a consignment store, pawn shop or automotive / vehicle salvage business.
